I've been meaning to give this place a try for a while, since seeing it on DDD. I tried the jerk chicken, which is the main attraction here. It was very good, although different from what I expected. It was nicely spicy, with all of Jamaican allspice and scotch bonnet flavors one would expect, but also a lot of sweetness. I suspect it is coming from molasses or brown sugar. It is still very good, but makes it almost like a cross between jerk and barbecue sauce to me. I had it served the traditional way over rice and peas, with cabbage and carrot, which was also very good. There were other options, including sandwiches as well. The counter service was very friendly, and the wait was very short for the food. It is a small place, with only about four tables and no public restroom. It wasn't exactly an authentic Jamaican-style jerk, but it was VERY good for what it was. Recommend a try. read more
