I just want to take a moment to publicly declare my deepest appreciation and sincere emotional dependence on Taco Bell, specifically the heroic morning crew at the Okeechobe, Florida location.
I am currently 24 weeks pregnant and, truthfully, Taco Bell is the only reason I'm surviving this pregnancy content, happy, and semi-functional. Morning sickness? Cured by the holy trinity: baja blast zero, nacho fries, and fresh chicken nuggets at 8 AM. Yes, they make it happen. They even do it with smiles, without judgment, and somehow always perfectly fresh. I don't even know how they're doing it, especially when the app doesn't even list baja blast zero at this location. But THEY MAKE IT HAPPEN. Daily.
They know me. They know my baby's order. They know they are the only thing standing between me and another moment of nausea. My app shows that i've personally placed over 30 Taco Bell orders since finding out I was pregnant, not even counting the blessed deliveries from friends and family who've tried to bring me comfort. But nothing hits like it does directly from my morning crew. I swear the food just tastes better. Look at the seasoning on those fries pictured below.
If nutrition labels told the truth, mine would say: 90% Taco Bell. My baby is basically being built from Baja Blast and nacho cheese. I am not exaggerating when I say the staff deserves everything they want in life (ie., promotions, medals, a lifetime supply of crunchwraps, and maybe even to be named godparents to my child) At this point, I'm genuinely considering naming her Bell.
So thank you, Taco Bell. Thank you for being the real MVP of this pregnancy. You've gone above and beyond, and I'll never forget it.
With love (and queso),
