Taco king has quickly become my family's go to Mexican fast food.
This is now my husband's favorite place in town to get a carne asada torta (sorry Serrano's) They taste more homemade, full of flavor, and the asada has a better texture than their competition. My only gripe is that they're not made on bolillos, but instead look to be made on maybe a French bread.
Their carnitas tacos are delish. Ultra soft, packed with flavor and richness.
The pozole is alright but lacking in salt and umami. What I do like is that they include tortillas and fixings for the soup.
What I don't love is the salsas because they seem to be hit or miss. Sometimes there's a sour kind of taste in one like a vinegar taste maybe that alternates which salsita will be the weird one everytime I go.
What I do love is that they're nice, and much cheaper than their competition up the street. read more
