How do you dim sum...
After meeting up a new restaurant in the Chinese Cultural Plaza which isn't free parking though having parking is very convenient for the area since it was Sunday street parking is free and I was very lucky to find a stall very close by and after our gathering Nadine C mentioned this restaurant as we passed right by it that it had an adorable item that was shaped like a carrot and as we walked in the fully packed restaurant right there is a covered shelves was several plates of dim sum and there's the carrot...mochi carrot to be exact and it was just too adorable to pass up on and as I got that and also another pastry that looked like Pineapple Bun both was filled with custard.
The bun was nice and light not too sweet with custard that was more thick than the usual thin that I'm used to and the carrot mochi is best described like a Jian dui as the mochi was much more firn and inside had a large cavity with a bit of custard and yes it tasted like it's fried.
The vibe of the restaurant was very busy but the staff was very nice and helpful as we just wanted to a couple of items to go which is nice and affordable and a great option to take home.
