I did the Secret Garden Terrarium workshop that started at 1PM. Because I got there early, I stopped by Take Root and I was surprised how small the store is. Small but mighty, this store had a great selection from other terrariums, calatheas, succulents, etc.. Although I didn't personally talked to anyone, I overheard a worker educating a customer on the type of plant she should get for her home and what to expect (Calatheas move their leaves upwards at night) The terrarium workshop was so great !!! It was taught by Julianna who was very knowledgeable about terrariums. I was shocked by her hospitality. She offered us cold, bottled waters. The bathroom was clean. The workshop was from 1PM-2:30PM and worth every penny ($65). I would drive an hour and some change to come back for another class for sure. In the end, I made an awesome terrarium, got verbal and paper instructions for it & made new friends. Near the end, Julianna even swung back around and asked everyone if they wanted more moss or ivy for their terrarium. Super thoughtful. I need to convince my friends to come next time ‍ read more
