I'm updating my previous review based on further experiences at Tamarind. Unfortunately, the last few times I've dined with both friends and family, the service was strikingly different. From what I understand, management/ownership has switched hands in the last year or two so I'm unsure whether that has had any effect. From the moment we were seated to the moment we paid the check, we've uncomfortably felt rushed to finish our meals, despite the restaurant not being busy. It's really put a dampener on the social aspect of dinners out with my companions, because this place has the setting and menu to allow for such.
Despite my hesitation to dine in from now on, the food is still good (particularly the lamb dishes and curries) and it's still a decent takeaway option in the area. read more
