Target Optical: Outsourced incompetence I took two pair of frames I already owned - one of them quite expensive for me - and both that I loved - to Target Optical to have a new prescription inserted. I was called that "Both frames were returned, and they couldn't put the lenses into the frames. One of the screws was hard to replace." They offered to "give me a frame out of their store" - which I already knew I wouldn't like - but would allow them to keep the $700+ for the lenses. To my surprise, when I picked up the frames, they had been rendered unrepairable and unusable- the screws on BOTH sides of the expensive frames had been destroyed, and attempts at replacing them resulted in the disfigured photos below. I grabbed the frames and left - I don't even know if they had the lenses that had been in the frames - but, of course, it wouldn't matter as the frames are no longer usable. I highly recommend you do not use Target for lense replacements, give this level of technical incompetence. read more
