I grew up disliking target. No real reason, just not my kinda store. Anyhoo, I heard the Target cooperation now owns/operates Lens Crafters. Boy, oh boy, what a savings! I've been buying glasses from Lens Crafters for years and I do believe they have been overcharging/ripping me off a huge amount! Not sure why I paid so much for glasses from Lens Crafters. I'm sure it was because the optometrist is located next to the business. This review is about Target Optical, I need to stop digressing. Target has awesome employees and wonderful choices for glasses! Really happy I came here. I got 2 pairs of glasses that are a perfect fit, and cost me significantly less then what I've paid at lens crafter. A difference of approximately 600$. Whoa! They also except your old glasses and donate them on behalf of the Lions club. The glasses are then repurposed for people that don't have access to glasses. What a fantastic idea! The Lions club has a "Hometown Day" event once a year. A Lions Club partner that includes Sears Optical, LensCrafters, Pearle Vision, and Target Optical, will offer free glasses and eye exams to the needy and uninsured. This program is offered to low income families who are pre-determined to be in need of glasses. The insurance on the glasses is for 18 months at a one time cost of 35$, and 50$ for replacements. At other places it's for 12 months, costs 95$, and replacements are 100$. Guess who I'll stick with now? So glad I found another place to get great glasses.
