If I could give zero stars.... Well. You get it.
I'm a very passive and compassionate person. I do not get upset over little things and try to navigate to solutions during even the most upsetting moments.... However, I would rather sit in a bed of fire ants, naked, and watch my house burn to the ground than to ever do business with Mr. Lee again.
I brought in an iPhone 5s with a cracked screen. This wasn't the first time I had broken a cell phone screen so I took it in for what's now (unfortunately) becoming a routine cell repair drop off. 110$ dollars later and a few hours later I pick up my phone. It the screen worked properly, or what I assumed was properly up until about 45 min after I left. (I didn't really use my phone in those 45 min) Basically, the screen was perfectly fine but the heat pad underneath wasn't picking up my swipes and touches.
Where some would get upset, I casually go back to explain the problem, and hopefully get it resolved. This is where the story takes a turn like Paul Walker in a Porsche.... He says that since I left I owe him another 110$ to repair the screen. He's dead serious. This bamboozling little cell phone swindelin' guy thinks he can get over on people. I'm not saying I walked in in Roberto Cavalli, but I had a nice suit on and I felt he thought since I was obviously nonchalant and passive during the process? That I would just fold over and pay him again. (I first paid on a corporate card, maybe he thought I wouldn't care).
I had to threaten authorities, the BBB, and all other forms of accountability for him to take the 10 minutes (it took him ten minutes, literally... do the math that's 660 dollars an hour at that rate) to fix the problem he was paid to fix in the first place....
