Communication with the Terraform Construction LLC contractor before the project started was great. That's the only positive during this project. The scheduled start date was pushed back by 2 weeks as they were finishing up some other project. My project started on a Wednesday when they came to demo. On Thursday they only worked for 2 hours and did not show up on Friday at all. When I texted the boss, his excuse was "the worker's wife is sick". There were several no-shows during this project without any communication. Do NOT expect them to show up until after 10 am due to "traffic in NYC". They will not leave the house until at least 8 PM because they are constantly running behind schedule. On several occasions we had to tell them to leave because it was after 8 PM and they were making too much noise. Expect them to work every weekend as well because they will not show up during weekdays. Now about the project itself. Be prepared to babysit these workers. It took them forever to figure out where to install the outlets - they initially wanted to install them right where the faucets would be. Their tile guys dumped grout water into my flower bed in front of the house and then flooded the backyard as they forgot to shut off the water spout for 3 days. The plumber dropped something heavy while working on the pipes and it went through my living room ceiling which had to be patched and repainted at my expense. When they got to painting the doors.... No comments here. It looks like a 5 year old did the painting NOT a professional. Closet door kept sticking and was hard to open/close to which they told me to "just push". They scratched the freshly painted door by doing all this pushing. When installing the medicine cabinets, they went through the wall into the bedroom and it now needs to be repainted. They initially installed a glass shower wall which was chipped and didn't tell me until 3 days later. The guy who was working on the shower used TOILET PAPER instead of an edging tool to silicone. They couldn't figure out how to install door handles even though there were step-by-step instructions with pictures provided. But the best part was them messing up TWO of my two-way switches - one in the bathroom and one on the staircase. All they had to do was replace the old switches with the new ones. They tried to fix the issue three times. The last time the workers did NOT turn off the breaker and one of them got electrocuted. At that point I asked for a licensed electrician to come resolve the issue. The contractor REFUSED to provide one stating "he is not available for several weeks and we will send a journeyman" which turned into "i'm sending a foreman". As far as I understand, a foreman is not licensed to work on electricity. When I told them I would only accept a person whose credentials I can verify, they refused to work on the issue, refunded $1000 and told me to find my own electrician. I still do NOT have working lights in my bathroom. They also illegally dumped stuff from another construction site into my dumpster and tried to make it seem like they paid for it themselves so they had the right to do so. In NYC the fine for illegal dumping is at least $1000. I do NOT recommend Installation Made Easy nor Terraform Construction LLC. Floor and Decor should not endorse them to their clients. read more
