Ate here soon after leaving phoenix airport. We wanted a quick bite that wasn't too pretentious but excellently prepared and found just that! The restaurant is located in a small strip housing an art gallery, a yogurt place, and a coffee shop. It doesn't look like much from the outside but their menu does the talking. It is following food from the northern Mexican region. As a vegetarian, I truly appreciated their vegan menu- I thought the tortillas, which are handmade, wee soft and fresh with beans that had some creamy flavor. Usually refried beans are a mountain of mush, but not here. I had the chilaquiles, with both red and green sauce. The green sauce and the chili oil made from arbol chili was my favorite. My husband had vegan bean burrito and burrito with shredded poblanos- both were excellent. The owner even came by and recommended different items. I was impressed with the friendly atmosphere and the reasonable prices. Definitely worth the drive for a light lunch/brunch. Will be heading back there before leaving from the airport read more
