Had a late night craving for some Thai food and anything near my house just doesn't hit the spot. After a little searching I came across this place.
This little place is tucked away in shopping center. I arrived around 8:30 and didn't realize they were closing soon (9pm). I'm not one to come in late and expect full service, I probably let should have check hours before starting the trip. The lady at the front still greeted me with a smile and was willing to seat me. I told her I would just take it to go instead. She kindly agreed and handed me a menu. The typical Thai classics are here along with some stuff you may not be fully familiar with.
When trying a new Thai place I typically go with my personal staples.
The spring rolls were amazing. The wrapper was just the right consistency, the vegetable filling was clean and crisp, and the dipping sauce was delicious. The sauce was good enough to almost drink. It's sweet and nutty but has a good bit of kick.
The spice level offered is on s scale of 1-5 the lady informed me most guests find level 2 pretty spicy. I told her I like good heat and went with a 3 for my pad kee mao. She offered extra chili oil on the side if I wanted to get more intense. The flavor was incredible. The noodles were cooked perfectly with an exceptional amount of heat and flavor, what I come to expect out of good Thai. The vegetables again are fresh and crisp, nothing soggy here (this is surprising because this dish is also known as drunken noodle). I eventually did attempt the chili oil the kind lady packed up for me. Be careful this stuff packs a punch like Mike Tyson. My forehead was sweating two bites in...pure bliss.
The pad Thai was for a friend who finds black pepper spicy, so I ordered it as mild as possible. Even without the extra spices this pad Thai flavorful. I only had a couple bites but wish I'd had more.
Tips:
-This is the real deal so expect spice. Don't worry about starting too mild just get chili oil on the side.
-Peanuts, peanuts, peanuts. Be careful if allergic.
-Plenty of parking out front.
-Check store house before going haha. read more
