This review is only in regards to the laundry facilities. To be honest, this has been my first time using a communal laundromat, so I do not have anything for comparison. For my first experience, I'd say it has been a good one! The American is very clean and well done. No one else was there on the weekday evening we went. They have 8 washers and 8 dryers in total, with only one machine that was out of order. A load in the wash costs $2.75, and a load in the dryer costs $2.00 (as of Fall 2022). That seems pricy, but I'm not sure how that compares to other laundromats. There is a change machine, and there are also detergents and dryer sheets for sale (again pricy). There is seating inside and two benches on the front porch. WiFi is provided, but there is no public restroom. I do believe one should be offered since waiting on laundry can take quite some time. That would be my biggest complaint. It is next door to a coffee shop and tucked away in a nice, safe area. There is a security camera located inside (and I am sure outside as well). read more
