This festival showcase was put on by Modern Tiny Living (MTL), to show off their custom-made houses on wheels! My main crush? The Point. Why? Loved the elevated front bay window seating. The storage under the floor of the couch was ample. And the seating turns into a nice-sized guest bed! I'm not very sold on lofts, so if I could upgrade the bed to be a hydronic drop-down, I'm 100% sold! Guess that where the title CUSTOM comes into play, and we really see how flexible this company is! One thing to build on: More designing and building companies at this show. The fantastic number of visitors that bought a ticket, showed up, and gladly waited in line to tour the tiny houses was way more than originally expected - score!! It would be incredible if MTL opened up this showing up to other builders, so the public can see many different designs, floor plans, upgrades and space-saving ideas from different companies. Nicely done, MTL! From your two years of planning, 1.5 years building, you did a great job! This was my first time physically inside a tiny home, and it was a great introduction to the process. read more
