I've lived on the Westside for so many years. I hung out in College Hill in the late 80s. I've been through Northside a million times, yet this was my first visit to The Comet. My son invited me, and he has a real history with The Comet. The food was awesome. The crepe cake was like nothing I've had before. I couldn't figure out what it would taste like by the description, but it was highly recommended by several patrons. It was not overly sweet. The fruit , sauce, and pistachio were perfect compliments, in my opinion. The service was fine. I see other reviews where people are complaining. It is a bar, small staff doing what they do. It's a laid-back vibe. The humans who are doing their best can get overwhelmed. It's not a 5 star James Beard joint. It is a neighborhood bar, serving a good brunch. read more
