If like myself you love Indonesian food and are looking for authentic taste, a great ambience and prices that won't shock you, you have to try Rice Table!
On weekdays, they have set menus which allow you to order their signature dishes as sets. These are not just scumptious but the portions are great so you feel satisfied without feeling the pinch. Try the Nasi goreng set (fried rice with satay and freid egg) nasi coconut set (satay, potato patties on coconut rice), nasi campur (pronounced chum-pour) which gives you a bit of everything or for those that fancy something spicy: order the fish or prawn belado.
The flavours from each and every dish will blow you away so if you're on a diet, I suggest not going there because once you're had a taste, it'll be hard to stop.
Popular dishes to share include chargrilled satay (meat skewers) - my favourite is the lamb and Tahu telor (an egg and tofu dish with a delightful peanut and sweet sauce) - great for vegetarians!
The service is always great and soothing traditional Balinese background music will complete your experience. On a hot, summer night: finish your meal with either Es Campur (jackfruit, palm seed, and palm sugar on shaved ice or Es Cendol (pronounced ch-en-dole) a green jelly, palm sugar and coconut iced drink.
