Discovered this new home community online and liked the story they're creating. Dear Hubby and I checked it out last weekend. There are four sets of homes within the new neighborhood, which will also include two parks. One is already in place. It's lined by "Anacapa" townhomes, which helps create more of a single family feeling for those places.
Around the townhouses are three single family home groups, "Topa Topa", Olivas", and "Sespe". The Sespes are very large luxury homes. Olivas are the smaller ones, with Topa Topa in the middle. Various features may include a downstairs and upstairs master bedroom option, kitchen islands, walk-in pantries, large laundry rooms, upstairs loft spaces, and more.
"California rooms" are also popular. The yards tend to be on the smaller side, but aren't super tiny, either. Garages in most of the models are in the back, accessible by alleys. Front porches abound in the community.
The sales office staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The office sets the tone for the colorful farmhouse chic style that runs through many of the models. The single family homes do not have an HOA fee, plus no Mello Roos.
The overall community is somewhat isolated, surrounded by farmland. There're no services in immediate walking distance. That's something to take into consideration. On the other hand, it's maybe 10 minutes to the beach, but away from much of the coastal fog.
I was impressed with the interior design of the models. They were done with colorful flair and a sense of joy. I was ready to move into at least three of the models. (If money were no object, natch!) Dear Hubby and I were impressed with the neighborhood which is being created at The Farm in Eastern Ventura.
One fabulous bonus of two of the townhouse models are studio spaces above the detached garages. Perfect for artists, yoga or dance enthusiasts, a killer home gym, a hangout space. So many potential uses! read more
