We live right up the street from this place and watched it's transition from old dive bar to its current Foolish incarnation. It took them over a year to renovate it and they still aren't done in the back and the parking lot is a little rutted but the inside is very nicely done. There is a huge bar and some high and low tables scattered throughout. The clientele is mostly locals and lot of laborers grabbing a drink and a bite to eat after working hard all day which was great to see. It's super casual and very open inside. We had a few beers and the bartender was good. She was attentive and was waiting on 20 folks at the bar as well as table drinks. The manager was able to help serve some food to help her out but never once asked us how everything was. That was a little bit of a missed opportunity in my opinion for a new business. We ordered a breakfast burger that came with some hashbrowns on the side. I assumed, which is my fault totally, that the burger would come with lettuce, tomato, etc. but it truly was JUST a burger, egg, and cheese and absolutely no other toppings. That was disappointing and I really wish the bartender would have asked if I wanted anything on it. I ended up using ketchup for moisture since she was so busy and I was hungry. :) The hashbrowns were frozen and fried so they were nothing special. I think this place has tremendous potential. We'll be back to try something else. It seems busy so that's a good sign. read more
