Was very impressed on my first visit to The Laundrette this Wednesday evening! Having never dined there before I didn't know what to expect, and had heard mixed reviews so wasn't going expecting too much. Upon arrival the staff were very welcoming and accommodating, showing me to the bar whilst I waited for my friend and our table to become free - I was a little early, but the bar men were very chatty and friendly so I didn't feel put out whilst I was waiting! When my friend arrived we sat outside, under the heaters, and it was rather lovely. There was plenty of cushions on the loungers outside, and blankets to keep warm and there was a retractable roof that they extended out when it started to rain to keep us dry! It was really nice sitting outside early April, and I didn't feel uncomfortable at all! The menu was quite extensive, however I had pre-looked online (because I am a pain in the arse and like to pre-empt what I'm going to eat...) and when we arrived the menu was different, and the main I was going to have was no longer on the menu! So I was a little disappointed - but the waiter was so apologetic and lovely, he helped me choose something else off the menu, which was delicious!
