My Dad, who lives in Rochester, is almost 89. For a few years now, he's been reluctant to try new places for Sunday brunch, preferring the familiarity of places he knows. Occasionally he'll humor me and let me take him somewhere he hasn't been, especially if I've already gone there and had a positive experience. Of course, that doesn't mean he'll feel the same afterward, but he does about The Meeting House. Even though we had to wait for a table, we didn't wait long, and service was kind and attentive as soon as we were seated. The menu is creative and offers a range of dietary options. Coffee and fruit are fresh and plentiful. I loved the Kale Salad; the pistachios are an excellent accompaniment to the kale! My sandwich was delicious, too. The only flaw was that the hostess at the door was a bit impatient and curt. I understand that Sunday brunch is likely one of the most hectic shifts, but that person at the door is the first impression of the establishment. We had a nice visit and enjoyed our meals, even so, and I hope to bring Dad back some time soon :) read more
