Trident Inn tries its best! The inn itself was modern and coastal chic. We enjoyed our quick stay.
Pros:
- Friendly staff (always interested in making genuine conversation)
- Nice decor / furniture throughout all spaces (indoor & out)
- Complimentary bottled water, towels, beach bag, beach chairs, fresh flavored water, sunblock
- Great add on options for picnic lunch to go, specialty items for your room
- Pool area was fabulous!!!! Enough seating for all guests, great place to hang out. Pool side service was great as well.
- The views! Being perched up high, this place has a great view of the town & ocean below
- Designated parking spaces really took the stress off us if we wanted to pop over to another town or grab a bite somewhere in town. We didn't have to worry about fighting for a space.
- Free (/$10 voucher) breakfast at Crew, this was a nice touch
- Sound machine was clutch and very appreciated!! Sound from room to room was minimal - they did a nice job soundproofing.
Cons:
- Could benefit from a good deep clean (baseboards throughout the building & in our room, carpet runners were almost brown)
- Our room was so tiny, felt like we were staying the night at our parents' house. There was barely anywhere to walk around our room. We had to rearrange furniture to accommodate our luggage + a way to reach the bathroom and farthest side of the bed.
- Stairs, stairs, stairs!!!! Between the large hill to walk up to the building itself + the 5 staircases to get to our room, we were tired lol. Not ideal for older or less physically abled folks or those traveling with heavy / multiple pieces of luggage.
- Wish the in-house menu featured more lunch-friendly or snack items
