An nice quiet pub which makes it easy to chat (we wandered all around Devizes before eventually settling on this place). Very pleasant atmosphere, friendly lady behind the bar. There is a small public bar with a few tables set out on the polished wooden floor in front of the bar. Down two steps into a plush and carpeted lounge with tables and comfortable chairs, lots of nice furnishings, paintings and flowers. We were amazed at the varied menu, especially all the vegetarian choices: SIX not counting the omelettes or baked potatoes! Good value too, from £5 to £6.65. A nice little woolly dog called Ben lives in the bar and there are photos of him on the mantlepiece too! Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area or happen to live around here. read more
