Decided to take a break from all the meaty German food and try out the vegan scene. Loads of flavors and pretty decent fake meat. Though it did seem to have a lot of sodium; I was quite thirst afterwards.
Fried Peanuts with Vinegar and Coriander: Kinda like regular peanuts with the skin on, but with a delicious soy and vinegar sauce.
Dan Dan Mian: Hearty noodles in a very umami and somewhat salty sauce Not particularly spicy.
Vegan Duck Roulade: Wow, this was very unique. Thin layers of tofu skin wrapped over and over again. It does kinda mimic the texture of Peking duck. But instead, lots of colorful thinly sliced veggies. Plus a very flavorful sauce. By far, my favorite dish here.
Vegan Gongbo Chicken: Respectable fake chicken. Tasted more like chicken than tofu. Though not a perfect replica. Kinda like a kung pao chicken, with the sweet and sour sauce.
Panda's Fav: I got this drink while the other person with me got lychee juice and sparkling water. My drink was like half the size and twice the price, but tasted about the same. So lesson learned, skip the fancy juice drinks and just get the simple spritzers. read more
