Visited for family dinner pickup last night. Location is just west of Vintage on Loutta; a food truck located in a Chevron gas station parking lot. An all-vegetarian and vegan fare. Adjacent is a Mad Dog (hot dog and burgers; Elote Fries are to die for) food truck.
Lovely couple Raj and his wife running the show at Tikka Munch. Food took at least 45 mins to get ready (Alert: Just the two of them working hard, be patient). Ordered Chole with Basmati Rice, Spicy Sczechuan Hakka Noodles, Pav Bhaji with extra Pav, Samosas, Garlic Naan, and a can of Thums Up. The meal set us back approx. $53, including taxes and tip. Portion sizes were middling - could have used more given the price point. We are very picky regarding food, as both wife and I cook a lot. Taste was decent but not authentic or spectacular; unfortunately the requested-spicy dishes were just raw heat (not cooked down) and unbalanced (balance between heat, tartness, saltiness, sweetness, and flavor, being the hallmark of good Indian cooking).
A good initiative by a young couple - they are very friendly and welcoming. Our picky experience/tastes apart, others seem to adore the fare as noted via the 5-star Google reviews. Wish we could rate similarly; shall return however and try other dishes. Do support this young family - running a restaurant/food truck is extremely hard. They deserve community support! read more
