I took in an afternoon movie at AMC Thoroughbred on the 4th of July. Afterwards, I wanted to check out what was around the area. I stumbled on TJ Maxx.
Most stores in the vicinity were closed. I was pleasantly surprised that there were cars in front of this store. I parked and walked it. It was indeed open.
The handbag section stared at me when I walked in. I was thrilled to see a Kipling crossbody bag. However, the cute gorilla was missing. Ugh!
I found a manicure set with small Minnie Mouse stickers and clear nail polish. It looked so good at a cheap price that I bought it. I haven't painted my nails all that often during this pandemic. The fact that the polish is clear, but has cute stickers, is a step up for me.
There were a lot of watermelon-themed items, from lip balms, to eye masks. I love watermelon items so much. I ended up getting watermelon popsicle moulds. I hope to try them soon.
The only downside to my experience was the fitting rooms. They were blocked off. I ended up trying a t-shirt over my existing one. It fit. I'm glad that I didn't select a pair of pants to try on. I can't imagine slipping them on over my shorts in a public setting.
There were a bunch of calendars that you change with the supplied wooden blocks. I found a Grogu one and snatched it up immediately.
The phone accessories are excellent here. I saw USB-C cables from 3 to 10 feet. There were a lot of Airpod Pro cases in various food themes. They looked weird, mainly because the pro earbud cases are larger. I have the Airpods with an avocado case. The pro one looks like the avocado was on steroids.
There was a bit of a lineup at the checkout. Perhaps four people were in front of me. It did move fast.
I ended up with a nice woman who was great. I paid with a credit card. All went well. She placed my items in a bag. I thanked her and left.
I had a terrific shopping experience here. I'd come back again when I'm in the area.
