Totally unsatisfied with Total Stone Construction patio flagstone installation and the Project Manager's lack of interest in correcting his production team's work. Do not recommend (at all). Alexandria, VA.
Project Manager Gabriel H. arranged for prompt installation - occurred within one week of my acceptance of his proposal. Installation was completed in one full day. (In hindsight, have been wondering if short cut was taken that contributed to the unacceptable installation.)
In mid-June 2021, I paid over $7000 for Eastern Ridge Flagstone South Blue to be installed over an existing 10 X 15-foot concrete patio. Within 12 (repeat 12) days, my patio looked like crap after one rain shower. Totally unacceptable: blotched patio. Botched job.
This is Total Stone's business (profession), yet the Project Manager Gabriel H. did not tell me the flagstone might significantly bleed (in a record time of 12 days). Over 50% (plus/minus) of the stones bled to copper. Where did the blue flagstones I selected go? Down the proverbial toilet. Within 12 days of installation, my patio has no similarity to the day of installation, nor the brochure photo I was shown, nor like the sample stone I selected. Walking around my neighborhood, I still have not seen flagstone in the same condition as mine.
Project Manager Grabiel H. used a cement that caused an unnatural frame to appear around 50% (plus/minus) of the stones. In fact, Gabriel informed me that this had occurred on other of his installations. After insisting he come in person to discuss with me, Gabriel has not delivered to correct the installation. In September, Gabriel said that if I wanted stones replaced, I would have to pay 50%. He also insisted that the solution -- to remove the unnatural framing -- was to power wash. Which he said he would do once his summer season was over. (Summer ended 9/21/21 and no follow through.) The fact that the Project Manager had prior similar issues and still used it is nonsensical. I object totally that I was not informed the flagstones could bleed within two weeks.
I do not recommend TOTAL STONE Construction or the Project Manager Gabriel H. (Okay, unless maybe you want to engage the BBB to assist you.) read more
