After having lunch in Maple Grove, I needed to get some lemons, fruit, and booze. I did a search and found this Trader's Joe close by. I was here on New Year's Eve Eve. Maybe I'd like this Trader's Joe more had I not visited this place a day before New Year's Eve. The lot was busy with folks coming and going. I don't enjoy shopping with so many folks. This plaza also had a Whole Foods across from this store. Maybe I need to return when folks are more relaxed and less frazzled. I hit the grocery part of the store first. I love the bags of snack-sized apples. They are perfect, yummy, and crisp. There were bags of blood oranges. I decided to get a bag. They were also yummy. Lemons are cheap at Trader Joe's. I got a couple of them here. I was happy. I also got some flavoured sparkling water. I love this line. No sugar. The fruit flavours are yummy and vast. I haven't even had a quarter of these flavours. I got to the checkout area and the man there was so nice to chat with. I paid with a credit card. Done! He bagged everything and wished me a nice evening. I did the same thing and left. I ducked into the booze section for the first time. I wanted something light and yummy for New Year's Eve. I found cheap bottles of prosecco. Yes, please! There were bottles of strawberry and raspberry rossini, and peach bellini. I got a bottle each. The man at the counter was great. There was a female customer who basically interrupted my paying for my items by saying, "I'm sorry, but I love the red wine here." Are you really sorry? I frankly didn't care about your opinion. I don't think the male staffer cared, either. It was so random and odd. I thanked the man and left with my precious items. The weird woman then got to chat up a storm with this man. I felt for him. I rang in 2024 with the peach bellini. It was bubbly and had the right amount of peach flavour. It went down nicely -- perhaps too well. I had two glasses of it, which basically emptied this bottle out. A few days before I was to fly back home, I had the other bottle after I returned to my hotel room after a Wild game. Same deal. The strawberry and raspberry flavours were perfect. I loved the bubbles. I would get both flavours again. I don't know if this prosecco line is a seasonal offering. I hope that these bottles are heaven are available year-round. They were delicious and cheap at $6 each. The items at this store are great, which is the case at any Trader Joe's. It's the crazy parking lot and an oddball customer that wasn't. I hope to return when it's not the end of the year and find out if my experience will improve. (22) read more
