My 13 month old Treadwright Axiom tires were purchased 9-23-20. They were priced very reasonably at $147.49 cents, delivered promptly and looked great. I drove about 6000 miles on the m without any issues at all. On 11/19/2021 One of the rear tires threw the tread off the tire which not only meant I needed a tire, but made a mess of my trucks inner fenderwell and the outside of the truck as well. Fortunately I was in the right lane when this happened and did not have an accident. THIS IS WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT I BOUGHT RECAP TIRES. THEY WORD IT LIKE THE CASING IS MADE IN ONE PLACE AND THE TREAD IN THE USA. IT IS SAME AS A RECAP TIRE FOR ALL PRACTICAL PURPOSES ON A NEW CASING. I called Treadwright and found that their defects warranty is only good for one year. NOT HAPPY. I have no confidence in the rest of the Treadwright tires on the truck and am replacing them as well. I FEEL MY MONEY WAS WASTED! The other thing that was very annoying was when I called them, the warranty dept is on a recording, but sales is live. I did leave a recording but 4 hours later did not get a response. I have heard of old tires coming apart but not a one year old tire. read more
