There's a place called Dampa which has a lot of merchants selling fresh seafood - you can pick and haggle. Our favorite items have always been the large crab legs, the scallops on the half shell, lapu-lapu (otherwise known as Grouper) fish and shrimps of all sizes.
Afterwards, you can bring your fresh catch to Trinity and they can cook your fresh catch to perfection. Of course, there are other restaurants which can probably do the same - which just always made it a point to come here because of the way the seafood is cooked.
The fish is just so soft, typically steamed in ginger and soy sauce. The scallops are grilled and topped with butter and garlic. The crab legs are the main event - it's a messy and great time. The shrimps may slow you down but do have them head on so you can really get the flavors. Make sure to wash this all down with ice cold San Miguel beer and go easy on the white rice (save some room for more seafood). read more
