We went on a Saturday evening for dinner & now that the initial HEB madness has slowed its roll, there was only a short line. That said, it does not move quickly here. We ordered the brisket nachos, Texas brisket cheesesteak, and the Texas torpedos. The main thing I want to say here is that you are not going to one of those old-school, smokey, line of patrons waiting to get to the guy with knife to place your order kinds of BBQ joints. Your expectations should be in line with where you are, right? For what they are - a grocery store BBQ restaurant - they do a good job. They will never be confused with some of the more famous Hill Country digs with dyed-in-the-wool pit masters. If the three items ordered, only the torpedos disappointed. The sausage exterior was rubbery. The cheesesteak was amazing. The use the tip, rather than the flat, and it worked perfectly with the rest of the ingredients. The brisket melted in our mouths. The only downside to this item is the board said it was a limited time item. Finally, the nachos were huge all well-proportioned.
