My BF and I visited this Diner based on a friend's recommendation. It's a small establishment, with free parking in the front and back.
Upon arrival we were quickly greeted by a friendly host who immediately brought us to our seat. The decor is a bit outdated and could use some TLC.
Our waitress Marilyn was very attentive with a pleasant disposition. We ordered coffee and water for drinks. Cups were clean, coffee was really good.
We ordered from the mini menu.
Broiled Scallops with spaghetti (linguini). The scallop were a disappointment, they were tasteless. They were very small, looked and tasted like they were frozen, dropped in boiled in water and served. There was no apparent attempts at searing them, hence no visible golden crust. It was served in melted butter (flavorless) but it did come with a lemon wedge...I guess...
Baked flounder stuffed with "crab" meat.
This dish was salty, fishy and stuffed with what I would describe as mush. There was no evidence of crab meat (imitation or real). It was over seasoned and mushy. I couldn't eat it but my Bf made the best of it, he doesn't believe in waste.
The other customers that were present all seem to be ordering either breakfast or sandwiches, maybe the breakfast and sandwich options are better. read more
