My only true complaint was that we didn't have more time here. I was lucky to have stumbled upon this lodge while searching for options on Google, Expedia, and Travelocity. Unbeknownst to us this lodge had only been open 5 weeks before we arrived. It is absolutely beautiful. Eric and Beth are fantastic. Kind, responsive, talented. We arrived about 5pm Saturday night and enjoyed a fun happy hour with speciality cocktails but also made to order drinks. Followed by a delicious 5 course meal for a steal of a price $69 per person at 7pm. This experience lasted 2+ hours and was well worth it. Unfortunately the timing meant we didnt get to experience the beautiful hot tub or pool but given the wind that night and morning we were okay with that. We enjoyed the view of the stars from our deck and then woke to a wonderful sunrise, fresh biscuits and coffee brought to our door before breakfast was served at 9am. That too was delicious though left me wanting more. There was choice between two items (yogurt or quiche) and in would have liked both, but I'm an eater. ;) Any request we made was handled including making simple syrup for the old fashioned and taken notes to get larger ice cubes for the whiskey drinks. It is a small, family run establishment with only a few other staff besides Eric and Beth, including their daughter. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We can not wait to go back and for longer in order to experience the sauna, hot tub, pool, theater room, more delicious food, good company, and gorgeous views. This is a must and well worth the price. Clean, comfortable, classy but also fancy and another wonder tucked in the north cascade loop. read more
