This is "uber-pietastic" pizza and Italian food perfection! The tantalizing aroma of upscale Italian food fills the air when you arrive. Yes, you will have to wait and salivate since this is a three story narrow structure of early Texas architecture, built in 1896, with a revived decor adorned with retro fixtures and tasteful accents that please the senses. Albeit a bit cramped, seating can be challenging at times, but oh, how delicious the wait was, definitely call ahead for wait times - no reservations, however I will add, if you don't like to wait for authentic Italian fare using the finest imported Italian ingredients, locally sourced organic herbs and greens and in-house hand-crafted mozzarella or just simply don't have the time for an exceptional experience, then this is probably "not your cup of tea" or slice of pie! So on to the best part of this review. For starters, my wife and I chose the Wood Fired Bocconcini, recommended by our engaging and knowledgeable server, Brook. We saved some mushrooms and truffle oil from the Bocconcini for the hand crafted Pizza of The Month "The Smoky Peach" topped with Italian Prosciutto, smoked mozzarella, fresh peaches and basil, baked in a Wood Fired oven and topped with balsamic syrup and arugula and for dessert, we had the house prepared Peach Gelato with Creme Brulee, the perfect combination WOW! After dinner, we ascended to the "32° roof top bar" for a night cap and some music. Todd made my wife and me a "Tin Cup" containing, you guessed it, Peach Vodka! Fun and relaxing, thank you Todd and Shelly for making our 32° experience fun and enjoyed, definitely at the top of our list for future visits, nicely done Chef Salvatore and staff, a most memorable experience, see you soon! read more
