It is a great honor to be the first to review the post office of Elmdale Kansas! I was surprised that the architecture of the post office building is the same as Circle, Alaska! Unfortunately, Google Maps has not yet sent a car up to map out Circle Alaska so that one could see the street view. I'm guessing the Postmaster General has a file cabinet for post office designs. This design promises economy and reliability. No doubt the post office design reflects the spirit of the community.
Google Maps has recorded the streets of Elmdale. You can take a virtual tour of Elmdale. I've included a couple of links that are near the post office.
Across the street from the post office is a bank constructed in 1898. It's for sale. They would probably give you the building next door if you haggled with them a bit. Down the street from the post office is the City Hall. (https://www.google.com/maps/@38.3734655,-96.6459074,3a,75y,272.27h,98.96t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s6S8GSTeXYMca_7VCtICuIw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656) Like the bank, this is a more impressive building then the post office. read more
