So, let me paint you an image so you can see how ideal my day was before coming here. I came here early in the morning, as soon as I woke up from a refreshing and comfy 8 hours of sleep. Today, I also only have to work half a day (and remote). Most things in my life are going exactly the way I want them to. So with that eager and overflowing optimism and positive attitude is how I approached the task of sending a medium-sized box using this USPS location. Most people here leave 1 and 2 star reviews, and it is understandable: no one comes to the Post Office because they want to, but rather because they have to. They also come after a full day of work, when it's the most crowded (when I went, there were barely any people there), and they come with lots of packages or when the employees at the window are the most exhausted, so the 1 and 2 star reviews have a bit of a biased foundation to begin with. After everything I wrote, knowing that I was in the best possible frame of mind, and after looking at my other HUNDREDS of reviews with 5 and some 4 star reviews, you'd be surprised to see a 2 star review from me, no less!
Here's the scenario: there were two clerks at the window (please see attached photo) but only one of them was "working". She failed to acknowledge me and just started proceeding to input the info from my package in the system: no hard feelings. The whole time while I was in front of her, she was talking to her coworker (who was, in no shape or form, taking care of customers, she was just there to gossip with the working clerk). She only briefly stopped mid conversation to ask me if I wanted to send the package as ground or priority. I was in no rush so I just said media mail. She then proceeded to also add the signature confirmation charge on it, which I did not request at all, again, no biggie, while continuing to talk to her coworker. All in all, way too early and way too chill of a work environment (A/C, barely any customers, etc) for her to have given me such poor customer service. First and last time I'll come to this location, from now on, I will be going to the one in Colorado which is a bit further away, but the clerk there is always on top of things. read more
