The Schofield Barracks Post Office is truly a gem. I love the charm of the historic building, and the ladies who work there are so genuinely friendly and helpful--it's always a pleasure to visit. I have to admit, I'm a sucker for new stamp designs, but that's just fine because snail mail is a lost art, and there's nothing quite like receiving a handwritten letter or a thoughtful card in the mail.
They're well-stocked with plenty of flat-rate boxes, mailers, and envelopes, so it's easy to get everything you need. Parking is convenient, and the open-air concept of the building is my absolute favorite--it's such a refreshing experience.
While they're closed on the weekends (all post offices are closed on Sundays, but this one also closes on Saturdays), it's not a problem--I just jog over to the Wahiawa Post Office when needed. This location is a win-win for those with base access. If you ever happen to go by there, tell them Deb the Notary said "Aloha!" !
