First time at this location. It recently took over from another coffee shop and is literally right across the street from the main Colectivo location. Outside, there are several patio tables under birch trees in a park-like setting. Inside, the space isn't large -- the barista counter is on the left, with small tables for 2-4 people. The design is simple and minimalist, creating a relaxed and quiet atmosphere.
There were only a few other people when I arrived. I got a friendly greeting from the barista and ordered a London Fog Tea Latte (little lavender, little vanilla, extra foam) in a mug. The pastries they offer are not the typical American or French styles you see in most coffee shops -- they're Italian. I had hoped to get the Sfogliatella, but they were out. Instead, I chose a Cornetto (similar to a croissant) with almond filling. They also offer apricot, pistachio, and chocolate.
When my London Fog arrived, I noticed tiny black specks in the foam. Don't worry -- it's a good thing! They make all their own syrups, and because they use real vanilla beans in their vanilla syrup, you see the flecks of vanilla (just like in many gourmet vanilla ice creams and custards). The Cornetto was fresh, flaky, and had the right amount of almond filling. Details like this are what set Vendetta Coffee apart from many other local shops.
