"Walking Comfort" as a store name makes me think of old-people velcro shoes, custom-fit orthotics, and bunion cushions. However, it was a bit of a surprise when I walked in the Walking Comfort I was surprised to find a a store better suited to walkers and hikers than one for mere comfort ... and that's a good thing. Exhibit A is a great selection of Hydro Flasks.
With another store in Centerville, Walking Comfort has running shoes, hiking boots, sandals, sneakers, boat shoes, flip-flops, sandals (including a wide range of Birkenstocks), clogs, boots, slippers, slip-resistant footwear, dress shoes ... and you will also find pain-relief insoles and recovery footwear.
You'll also find big-name brands like Asics, Alegria, Uggs, Danskos, Keens, Lockport and the rest. The store leans toward women more, I would say about 60-40, but men and kids will also find some good choices.
Walking Comfort is tucked way back in the Draper Peaks Shopping Center ... but it's definitely worth finding. I'd say just park anywhere, you'll give your new shoes from Walking Comfort a good breaking in on the way back to your car! read more
