Decided to grab a bite to eat with a couple friends from work. Stopped in here because it was close to the office. Who knew it was also a small bowling alley with like a half a dozen lanes! Well we didnt end up bowling but it was there just in case I guess lol
Anyway, first thoughts was that it was very dark, your typical bar atmosphere. Dark with a couple tvs, jukebox and mirrors. I didnt see a pool table but they could have had one possibly in the bowling part. There were seats at the bar of course a couple booths but mainly big round tables. We sat down and looked at the small yet typical bar menus. Your standard bar food which was what to be expected. I ordered the 1/2 lb Walters burger which came with lettuce, tomato and mayo. And an order of battered fries. Service was quick and our waitress was friendly. One friend got the 1/4 lb burger and onion rings and the other one got a bowl of chili and a grilled cheese sandwich. My first reaction when the food came was that it looked pretty standard. The fries were crispy and hot and the burger came on a special bun. I was a bit disappointed that you could tell that the burger was a pre-frozen patty but it was ok tasting. We werent asked how we wanted our burgers cooked so I assume they were all cooked well. My friends onion rings tasted good but there wasnt very many of them at all. I wasnt expecting a fantastic burger but it would have been nice to have a regular hand formed burger for $5.00. I rated a 3 because of this and that it was just standard. It was a neighborhood corner bar for the locals so I guess it was right on. Would I go back, I dont see me going back anytime soon. But if I did I would probably just order drinks and appetizers. read more
