We hiked the Sweetwater Trail to Wasson Peak this morning. The distance is 9.2 miles and 2300 feet of climbing. I would rate this hike as moderate because the trails are groomed well and most climbs are gradual. The amazing views are endless!! The peak provides a 360 degree view of Tucson and Avra Valley. Do not miss this view!! The parking lot at this trailhead is paved and well maintained. The lot isn't very big so arrive early. I recommend this trail during cooler months because there is no shade.
