While waiting for a friend's delayed plane to come in, I decided to pop by this Wendy's to bring Great Grams a surprise dinner on the farm. The value menu is pretty decent and for just over $10, I picked up 2 Jr. Bacon cheeseburgers and 2 large bowls of chili (Pro tip: always get the hot chili oil, in fact ask for extra!) While waiting at the window I kept thinking about the Summer grilled chicken strawberry & mango salad. I asked if it was too late to add it on and they did it in a jiffy! The full order of the salad is just over $10 itself so it doubled my total to just over $22. But oh my oh my... let me tell you, it was so worth it! Seriously the best fast food salad I've ever had! Honey roasted sunflower seeds and a honey citrus vinaigrette comes on the side so you can decide how much of each you'd like to use. The salad itself had a nice variety of greens including a few spinach leaves. The fruit and feta was perfect. Really and truly the best fast food salad I've had! Normally I'd give a success order at a fast food joint 3 stars but this salad takes it to 4 solid stars. Worth every penny! I will definitely be back when I'm in the area :-) read more
