NEEDS A BIT OF ATTENTION, (CLEANING AND ORGANIZING)!
This little mall has the potential to be a great little shopping destination but needs to be better organized. Here in the south, furniture malls are very popular because several vendors can be housed under one roof. It is convenient for business owners and customers.
However, this only works if you have a very clean and organized space that is consistently maintained This mall was just a little sloppy and unorganized. The more stuff you have, the more organized you need to be. They had items all over the place and the second level was even worse. It was just dirty and messy and items weren't staged in a way to entice buyers.
Instead of these mini stalls, I would love to see items organized according to the item. Instead of running all over the place you could just go to the furniture section and see it all in one place. If you wanted dishes, you would simply go to that section. Get it? This place was a bit of a mess as far as I am concerned. The carpets needed to be replaced and areas needed to be cleaned. There were signs that said that the upstairs outlets did not work so you would have to carry items downstairs in order to test them. This would be very inconvenient.
Another problem with these types of places is you don't get the benefit of the bargaining process because the owner is not on site and having to go back and forth between the business owner and the actual seller would be a pain.
Finally, if you are a business owner selling "antiques", you should distinguish between junk and those items that actually have resale value so that you maintain a reputation for quality and authenticity. read more
