They were responsive and had somebody out to the house within 1.5 hours, so great news on that front. Everyone over there is kind, and it's the type of company I'd typically use and recommend, if not for one major issue... ...which is that ASAP Poop charges $475/hour for services in addition to any parts they need to sell. (This is beyond emergency service fees of $200, which they indeed disclosed in advance.) So, it's $475/hour to have somebody out to the house, even without any of their equipment used, something I confirmed via speaking to two different people when I called to inquire. Honestly, I was/am shocked at this exorbitant rate. According to Angi HomeAdvisor and Forbes Home Guides, septic services like this usually range between $150 and $300 per hour, making ASAP Poop as much as 3x costlier than others in town (and that's before emergency fees).

We've lived here less than a year, and I knew that wasn't needed, but I agreed to it since I needed the knowledge for cleaning the filter. Matt came out to educate me on the type of septic we have and how it works. He showed me how and cleaned the filter. He said the septic did not need to be emptied and could have easily taken advantage of the situation. He was honest and did not.
