My husband and I discussed the cost of our junk removal this morning. Upon further reflection, I just called back to see if the initial discount (before I was hospitalized due to Covid could be applied. It was only $35 but it's the principle. As soon as I was discharged I rescheduled. I asked them to make an exception and was told $35 could not be credited. I would not utilize this company again in the future. I would rather give our business to a local removal service. It took them less than 1/2 hour to remove, have me pay, etc. I told the person I called that I was initially pleased but completed a review based on everything but price. So, thank you for reading this lengthy review. I don't often complete reviews with one or two stars. Previous- So excited to have clutter removed today. I had to cancel my first scheduled appointment due to COVID. The appointment schedulers were very kind and easy to talk with. I was assured that any of the furniture that is decent enough to donate will be kept out of a landfill. Truly hoping this is the case. I received a call this morning at 7:40 am stating that the removal crew would be here within an hour. This fits perfectly into the time slot I selected (8-10 am). They arrived at 8:40 am.and were finished by 9:05. It is not inexpensive. Next time I might look into obtaining multiple estimates. I think there may be a discount for booking the same day. Also, if interested, look for a promo code. I don't know how frequently they are offered. The pictured items cost $698 (the cost of a full truck). I did give a 10 percent tip on top of that. I typically would give more... I think I had a bit of "sticker shock." Very convenient, kind and respectful team. Extremely hard-working. It actually made me exhausted watching them!! read more

1-800-Gor Junk in Allentown, PA - They quoted me a price of $238.00 to remove the junk. When settling up he asked if I wanted to add a tip and I said yes. A 15% tip was added. The total came to $273.70. I gave him my credit card and asked for a receipt. He said I would receive one in my email. However, the receipt I was emailed was for $450.50, which is what they charged my credit card + the $273.70! I immediately called but of course could not talk to him (John) personally, so I emailed him. We then had several emails in correspondence. John deleted the $450.50 receipt and replaced it with $428.00! Again, I told him that was not the amount to which I agreed and I wanted the $450.50 returned. John said we would have a conference call with his manager. That never happened. I have tried disputing it with my CC company, but they couldn't do anything because Got Junk didn't give me any usable paperwork. (I very much regret using my credit card instead of a check to pay!!) I also filed with the Better Business Bureau but Got Junk did not respond to any of their inquiries either. My next step was to file a complaint with my local police department. They never got a response from Got Junk either. At this point, my next step would be to sue Got Junk. This whole event has been nothing but stress and aggravation for me. Got Junk has refused to refund my credit card for the $450.50, so as far as I'm concerned they STOLE $450.50 from me. In my book, that makes them a very DISHONEST company and I will never recommend them to anyone. And if you do hire them, MAKE SURE you pay with a check and also get a signed receipt from the guys on the truck. GOT JUNK IS NOT TRUSTWORTHY IN THEIR BUSINESS DEALINGS!!! read more

Death. No matter how you work it, it's never good deal regardless of which side of the fence you're on. Be it heading off to the great gig in the sky, or picking up the pieces for a family member who died suddenly without a will and no direction as to what to do with anything. At the very least if the decision is made to start throwing things away, that's where the guys at 800 Got Junk come in handy. It's beyond simple to make a reservation for their services. You can either call a national 800 number or you simply head to their site and see the available time slots that are open in the area you are requesting service. I booked my time two days in advance for a weekday morning. About ten minutes before time, I got a call from the local GM that the guys would be about thirty minutes late due to getting held up at another job. I was expecting the worst but thankfully that's not what happened. Maybe fifteen minutes later they got there and then proceeded to work their asses off for almost the next six hours. It took about 2.5 hours to load the first truck which was beyond maxed out. They took off for 45 minutes to off load and then came back to load their truck again for the next three hours later. I was helping them and it was beyond exhausting. It would have taken another ?? if I would have kicked back and let them go at it. That's not to say that they were slow but 100% indicative of how much crap got moved out of the apartment. It was truly a lifetime of hoarded documents and furniture. Costs are determined by how much of the truck you take up. It's $600 per full truck and is billed by the quarter (150 for 1/4 - $300 for 1/2 - etc.). So yeah, this excursion wasn't cheap at $1200 plus their very deserved tip but while maybe other outfits might be cheaper I doubt their people would have worked harder. Death sucks. People who don't leave wills or assets to cover this type of stuff also suck but if you need a service like this, I would start here no question. Total A+ read more

I highly recommend you do NOT use this company for anything. Damaged my property and left trash (tacks and nails) in the parking area in front of my house. Mike, the GM, reaches out to me on Fri, said would call me back on Mon to discuss further. It is now Thurs and still no call after multiple attempts by myself to reach him. Called the "corporate" office and was hung up on 2x and on the third time I was told there is no one higher who could help me, needed to go through Mike. The actually pickup was horrible and so is their cust service. Do yourself a favor and find some other company to help you. read more
