I would recommend this company, and I have used them before for a smaller job. Justin and Timothy did a great job of moving my items in very hot weather. They were very professional and extremely polite. They called twice to let me know when they would be showing up. They were considerate with my home, they worked quickly and they were very careful while moving items within my home. I was amazed at how quickly my job was completed and how pleasant the entire transaction was. I thought the cost was fair. My only feedback was that when I scheduled the job on Sunday with the 800 number, I was told my appointment window started at 8 but somehow it was communicated internally as starting as 12:30. When this error was discovered on Monday morning, the Company moved up my time a bit. Also, Justin and Timothy were very sensitive to the mix up and that I had been waiting since 8 for service, and they kept me in the loop very well as to when they would be at my home. They knew that a mistake had been made (and I had the idea the mistake was not theirs) and they tried very hard to make things right. I liked their customer focused/friendly attitude. I used this company before - they sent a huge truck and cleaned out my entire garage - and the junk was overflowing and they charged me $675.00. I was happy with that- it seemed fair and they did a good job. So I thought about giving them some more of my business. Today I tried to use them to haul away a pile of tree limbs and they quoted me $650.00!! They must think I'm crazy! What a total rip off! I tried to reason with the young men that came out but their entire response from one guy was "well they take up more room"- and one guy just stared at me sullenly the whole time like he hated the world. This was not a huge pile of limbs. I used to be a big fan of this company but no more and never again. read more

I can't rave enough about this company. Every single aspect of my transaction with them went off without a hitch...from setting the online appointment (quick and easy) only one day in advance with no difficulty, to receiving the pre-appointment confirmation call right on time, to the guys arriving exactly when they said they would (and at about 9:30, on the EARLY side of the appointment window of 9-11, which never seems to happen with companies that schedule within a time window). Once the guys arrived, (two extremely polite, pleasant and clean cut college-age guys named Hugh and Bryan), they clearly told me exactly what to expect with regards to the size of the load I wanted removed from my garage, and then they were patient enough to let me go through the piles of stuff with them and point out what was to be removed and what would stay. Once they knew what I wanted removed they were quick, efficient, and in spite of the nasty weather, (cold and wet) incredibly pleasant. From the time they got there, until they left, it was maybe an hour, maybe slightly less, to remove 3/4 of a truckload of junk. In addition to loading the junk in the truck, they sweep up after themselves too! The service isn't cheap, I paid about 300.00 including tax, but it's worth every penny. You can either make about 10 different trips with carloads of crap to 10 different recycling centers, (some take glass but not cardboard, some take clothing but not electronics, etc), or you can call 1-800-Got-Junk and have them take it all in one quick, pleasant, and efficient fell swoop. I'd use them again in a heartbeat. read more

Two young men showed up on time. Very professional. They loaded the ENTIRE truck in just ONE hour. We got rid of a freezer, refrigerator, patio furniture, a couch, desks, credenza, tv's, big dog house, and so much more stuff that was overloading our garage. I still don't know how all that junk fit into their truck. I will highly recommend them to my friends and family. The only things they couldn't take were paint and hazardous materials (like paint thinner, camp stove fuel, tikki light fuel, etc....). They consider everything junk and NOT donated items, thus everything is treated as junk. Desks and other furniture were torn apart instead of being kept intact to be used again so they could maximize the space in the truck. We did have a nice baker's rack that one of the guys said his mother would like.... so at least she will be getting that. I wish I would have asked them how they dispose of everything in the truck afterwards. To fill up the entire truck was $582.00. The price is kind of high but it's well worth it. These guys did an excellent job. read more

I really wanted to rate them about 3.5 stars, but only whole stars are allowed. The guys showed up to the job early and were done in less than an hour! Kudos to them. They were very professional and cordial too. My only gripe is that their pricing is like "good lawd that's a lot of money" expensive! Wooh! I almost passed out when he told me what they charge to remove a few rooms worth of furniture. Thankfully the manager gave me a break since I had to get my stuff out quickly. Again kudos to them for that but even with the break it was still expensive! I probably wouldn't use them again unless they lower those prices by a couple hundred bills a load. They should also publish their pricing guide (showing the minimum $128 fee and pricing per fraction of load) so customers know what they're getting themselves in to. read more

I was not impressed with them from the zip code 77045. I had made the comparison between a 40 yard dumpster and supposedly their 40 yard truck. She assured me that their truck could get it in one load. I explained that I was cleaning out an entire house. When the truck arrived it was no more than 5 feet long but somewhat deep. Needless to say because I was in a bind to clear the house I allowed them to take 2 loads which did not even get half of the stuff out of the house. The price was doubled when I could have rented the dumpster for the price of one load and had it for 30 days. The lady said they could separate and recycle items that was not true they threw everything in the truck. I will never use them again. Be careful when you call the 1-800 number they will tell you anything to book the job. I was very specific in what I wanted when I called to complain now they say they only have one size of truck which is the small one so they can take multiple loads and charge you more money. read more

This was the first time I've used a trash/junk removal company and I'm glad I chose Got Junk. I called late Tuesday and they were able to be here Wednesday morning. I paid what was quoted plus tax and tip. Joseph and Jose were very professional and quick to get the job done. 10 minutes start to finish with no damage or problems. They showed up when they said they would with a phone calls to confirm as well as when they arrived. I would definitely recommend this company. At 8am I received a call confirming the appt and told I would receive another call from the driver shortly. About 15 minutes later, the driver called and gave me an eta. We scheduled an appointment a week in advance for Saturday, 9/16. They were supposed to call between 8-10 AM but never did. We called them around 9:30 AM to ensure that we were still on the schedule. The individual that answered the phone said that the power was out in the office but assured us that we were on the schedule but they couldn't locate the driver on GPS and they would call us back. The second call we made (still no word from 1800GOTJUNK) was at 10:30, a half hour after the window in which they were supposed to call us. Another, different individual said their internet was out and they were flying blind so they would need to reschedule for some other time. This smelled fishy since it seems like they could just call the driver and ask when he would be here but, regardless, they didn't honor the scheduled appointment and told us that they would need to reschedule for next Saturday. I'm thinking that they ignored our appointment for more lucrative hurricane Harvey cleanup jobs or some other reason. The reason doesn't really matter since, at the end of the day, they are unreliable. I highly recommend looking elsewhere and avoiding this company. read more

Sorry if you're disappointed that I told the truth. Only one of your employees was empathetic and professional and unfortunately he is not the one who made the mistakes. I already have you the name of your employee who we were complaining about! If he hadn't left a bunch of trash in the house and 8 huge boxes full of stuff on the patio AND THE GARAGE untouched, then we wouldn't have filed a complaint at all. We walked your employees through the house and gave them specific instructions. And in fact, I don't blame them entirely. I blame your biz as a whole because you don't use contracts. The only reason I ended up getting a discount is after I threatened to take you to court. And you didn't give me a $700 discount, only $200. If you're going to try to say that the rest of the stuff had to be hauled of in a third truck then you are lying. It was only a small portion of a third truck which I shouldn't have been charged for anyway. Sorry but your company is not one I'd like to do business with again, and I wouldn't want anyone I know going through the same thing either. Again ...... After the flood my garage was full of damaged furniture, lamps, rolls of carpet and padding, pots and pans, vacuums, a safe that weighed so much, I still don't know how they got it out, but they did and with total ease. Justin and Manuel worked so hard and even had to saw rolls of carpet in two in order to get it into the truck since all was water logged. The men were so professional and did such a fine job, including taking a huge glass top for a table. What made the job so hard is that they fought a steep incline in order to get all into the truck and had to make two trips with the truck. I felt I was in good hands the minute I called and made the appointment. It was the first time I used this company but I can assure you I will use them again each and every time. Heavy tiles, sewing machine, wrought iron pot belly stove along with that heavy safe along with so many other things like sheets, blankets, chairs, etc. These people are great! read more

I just had my very first experience with this company, & they are fantastic! From my initial call for info & to set an appointment pick up of a 3 piece butane grill, a very heavy & bulky grill, & now to the actual pick up, I cannot say enough wonderful things about the customer service extended to me! I was contacted first thing this morning & told the guys were wrapping up their morning meeting, & I could expect a call from the guys making the pickup shortly with an estimated arrival time. I got that call within 30 minutes, then another call to let me know they were having to make a stop to unload their truck before heading my way, then one more call to let me know they would be here within the hour! They were here on time, loaded up & on their way in about 15 minutes. Just can't beat the professionalism of the young men, Andrew & Ryan, who were here.
