The number I called was 877-705-7127. not 1-800-GOT-JUNK, but that's who the number answers as and they came in their truck with it printed on the sides. They estimated the price to take away a Queen sized mattress only was $150 that they quoted me on the phone. Once they got here they told me it would be $250! They said there is a discrepency between US 800-got-junk and Canada and that's why my estimate was off, and that this has happened before.........So why don't they fix it?? We had a good experience with this Nashua based crew. They came out for an estimate and provided a low/high estimate, and then returned on time as promised on the day of our clean out. The crew was neat, clean and very careful in removing old furniture out of our house as we prepared for a move. No damage as they took their time carrying items out. Perhaps not the cheapest way to get rid of unwanted goods, but we felt it was worth the expense, and they came in under budget as well. We would use this service again if needed. read more

Cleaning out my Mom in laws house. Got a estimate from Trash Can Willie, Ward felt he was was high priced, so we called 800GOTJUNK. PRO- Tony & David came right when they said they would. These guys got THE BEST MARKETING IDEA IN THE WORLD. They show up, give you a price ($909-) & TAKE THE STUFF WITH THEM RIGHT AWAY. With TCW, they estimate & come back another day. Yeah, two days I gotta be there instead of one, JUNK's idea way better. Anyway, David & Tony were professional, very nice & worked hard & fast getting everything cleaned up for us. They walked us thru after they were done, to be sure there was nothing they missed. The Boss called Ward later to make sure everything was good. We plan to use them again when we sell the house to remove some other things we needed to keep for now to show the house better. CON - I got nothing, which is weird. SO - If you are looking to get a cleanout, call these guys. It's gone RIGHT AWAY, they are polite & the price is right. We were VERY happy with them. read more

Embarking upon our third move in less than 18 months (thank you, US Navy), my husband and I (read: *I*) made the decision to purge the majority of our life's possessions... which is quite a bit, considering we have 2.5 kids in tow. Whatever I couldn't sell, I donated, whatever I couldn't donate, I gave away, whatever I couldn't give away, I planned on recycling or tossing in the trash. This successfully cut our household down to a manageable size, but our pile o' crap was HUGE. I made the mistake of buying a Bagster, filling it, and then expecting Waste Management to actually, you know, pick it up. They wouldn't, for various reasons - more to yelp about that on their review later. After stewing for half a day on what to do with this gigantic, full bag of misc. junk and the additional junk we had left in the house to drag down, I called Got-Junk and spoke with an awesome rep. Within five minutes, I had a scheduled appointment. She was very clear on the phone about what they would and would not take and how they would quote me a price when they got there. I ended up requiring a full truck. It was extremely comparable to WM's Bagster rates, without the BS to go along with it. They showed up, I showed them what needed to go, and they handled the rest of it. Including digging some of it out of the icy ground. Thanks, guys! read more

Overall, a pretty good experience as a first time customer. They came when promised and did what I asked. I do feel that their charges were a bit high for what they did - Nearly $600 for less than an hour's work - , and one of the gentlemen - the younger one - while not rude, could have been a bit friendlier. The other thing that rubbed me the wrong way a little bit was the manner in which they solicited "tips" ... When the younger gentleman handed me my bill he said, "By the way, we do accept tips for good service." It created a rather awkward moment... I felt almost as if I was being forced or pressured. Maybe be a bit more subtle? But as I said, they came when they said they would and got the job done! So overall I was happy and would use them again. read more

Fast, courteous, and cheap, considering. Sure, we could have saved the money by hauling the trash away ourselves, but it was well worth the cost (a hair under $200) to get rid of the crap the easy way. The junk in question was located in Billerica, which has bizarre laws governing trash removal and no transfer station. We would have had to truck the trash to my town in New Hampshire to remove it ourselves, meaning we'd have had to borrow my boyfriend's aunt's SUV, drive it up to my town about an hour away, pay to have the transfer station folks dispose of each item, pay for the gas in the SUV, make multiple trips because there was far too much trash to fit in a small crossover, make sure we didn't damage the SUV with the trash, etc. etc. and who really wants to put up with all that crap? The last straw was that it poured the entire day that we were actually cleaning the house. Once that started happening, we immediately called 1-800-GOT-JUNK and they showed up on time, grabbed the trash (including a TV and an extremely heavy TTY with which we had no effing clue what to do), and left us to finish cleaning the house. I would recommend them to anybody. read more

This was my second time using GOT Junk, which I had selected based on their prompt service the first time. My mistake. The initial visit was arranged, and on that date, the GOT Junk staff arrived 3 hours late and once they saw the location and size of the job, they explained that lots were closed on Saturday afternoons (so why had they agreed to a Saturday pick-up knowing this) and they then stated that this was a visit to estimate the scope of the job. They provided a written estimate and a date for the job. On that agreed upon date, they never showed. They never registered the job per the national headquarters; they purportedly called to confirm, no such call recorded; and, they now cancelled the pick up despite the in person arrangement. I would definitely recommend these people. They are efficient, didn't blink an eye, went right to work to remove the items I didn't want, plus the fact that they were extremely careful while removing things from my house to not damage our walls. The owner is a phenomenal person who really cares about customer service. They even give you a follow-up call to make sure everything went the way you wanted it to go! The other two guys who also came were just great! Can't say enough about them. They have different levels of prices and the original level, once I pointed out what I wanted removed was exactly what they came in as, once all the things were in their truck. 30 years of cellar junk - from half empty paint cans to old computers to old dishes, etc., etc. Fast, courteous, and very reasonable cost. It would've taken months to load and take to the dump. They came out the next day to give us a quote and remove if we agreed on the price. We had some fence panels and some other miscellaneous wood. They charge you based on how much it fills up their truck so they wanted $650 to remove everything. That sounds absolutely ridiculous to me. We were trying to avoid multiple trips to the landfill but not for that price. They were however very nice. read more

I am not happy with this service at all...they don't arrive when they say they will...For about 15 bags of trash and a computer chair, reclinner, a futon frame and mattress, and a few things they weren't suppose to take..I was charged $574..The idems that I needed trashed are still here because it would have cost me at least $200 more to have them taken away by them....so after I replaced the idems that they took(that they weren't suppose to) one oak dinning Room chair and a full box of all my personal care products..ect..ect..for 1800 got junk to remove my trash actually cost me more Like $930.00...I truely feel like they ripped me off...they only take what they feel like taking and they leave the rest..and if you want it taken away you pay for another truck to pick it up later.....for another cost depending on how much room it takes up in there truck..I do not recommend this service to anyone...two thumbs down.... read more
