I've used 1800 Got Junk three times, twice in the last few months. I can't really speak to whether their prices are high or not - they seem reasonable to me as someone who would otherwise have to haul the stuff from a second floor place and then pay to have the trash people take it. That's just a pain. I haven't had problems with no-shows. One time I did book within 24 hours and it was a little more confusing b/c I didn't receive the confirmation so I had to call to confirm. That time they also showed up toward the end of the scheduled time slot, but I was also at the end of the afternoon. Most recently, the guys (Tyreek and Colby) actually came early! Keep in mind that they charge by how much of the truck your stuff fills up. They may have a floater truck if you fill up the whole truck and need more space, but I wouldn't assume that when you book. Also, I don't assume they will necessarily remember everything I point out to get taken especially if it's scattered, so I do walk around and make sure the right things are going. They will often ask you again also - I don't mind, I think it's good. Anyway - they've been so helpful for me especially cleaning out my apartment. I don't know how I'd have done it otherwise. read more

The service was excellent. The movers, Luca and Carl, arrived within the agreed upon time frame and were courteous and professional. I had two 10X10 storage units filled to the brim to be emptied. They worked tirelessly. They filled 3 huge trucks. While one of them drove one full truckload away, the other mover continued to take the boxes out of the storage unit down to the loading area. Then the cycle continued with them reloading the truck. There were several very heavy items in the storage unit, each weighing hundreds of pounds. The movers loaded everything and never complained. They only said that they are movers and are doing their jobs. They were excellent representatives of the company. I hope the company recognizes Luca and Carl in a significant manner. read more

Horrible. I made online appointments and they said they didn't have it on file so I made appointment right over the phone with them. They said it was scheduled and will be there following weekend. Wasn't getting a call so I called the 1-800 number and they did not have ya on the file again! Will never ever use them and will deff not recommend them to anyone! read more

I had an appointment on Saturday 4pm -6:00pm! I received 2 phone calls. The first stating they would be late; the soncond call was with think we will get there. The second call said they will not be there but promised to be there on Sun between 10:30-Noon. Received a phone call the company may be late. Then a second call that they would not be able to make it in the timeframe.The rescheduling was a problem for me since they promised a they would be there on the time allotted. I nicely stated that you have rescheduled already and I have little faith that you would be coming to the house. Others must take a priority or this company overbooks more than one job. So excited about 1-800-Got-Junk! I called last night around well after 7:00pm! The gentleman to whom I spoke was wonderfully helpful. I overestimated the amount of space my junk would take in a truck! They came out the next day! Well within the estimated time frame. Derek and Sam gave me an exact price before beginning the job. They allowed me to pay per piece which saved me more than $200--especially helpful since I overestimated the size of my load. They moved my difficult furniture quickly and quietly. They were careful not to damage my narrow door way when moving my obscenely large sofa, loveseat, and chair. I really need to point out the size of the furniture because Derek and Sam literally had to break the couch to get it out of my door. I will certainly be using them again!
