Then his wife came to get paid and she was hostile and demanding. I told her we needed to discuss the fact that we had items missing and she pointed to 2 tall boxes and rudely said "you aren't unpacked" I replied that we had opened the boxes and replaced the items in the boxes and the silverware was not in either box. She demanded payment, I handed her the check and she stormed off shouting for us to never contact them and that she HOPED MY DOG GOT SICK! They packed the rooms that have items missing, a huge set of good silver, a credit card that was just received and still in the envelope with things in our desk, a big three ring binder type check book as well as other contents in the desk. My tote bag that contained personal items, think purse, is also missing. Why would they even think I would want them to move that? When I mentioned it to the wife her rely was "if it was in the office and they were packing the office they had a right to move it." We had other issues with them, they used an excessive amount of paper, which made more boxes and then charged more than the contract. When I say excessive I mean 20 to 30 sheets of paper in the bottom of the box, 6 full size sheets per light bulb, multiple sheets on Tupperware, and 20 to 40 sheets on top of the items in each box. Every box items were wrapped in excess. The other issue is they did not put down runners the day they packed and my light colored carpet is filthy, it did not have black streaks on the edges of the steps and the back of each step where their feet hit it, overall the carpet is very dirty and it was not before they packed. They packed on Sept.15 and moved us the next day. All boxes have been opened and these items are not here. They will not return our calls or text. When all a man can say in response to our concerns is that he has been in business for 34 years I think he has more ego than knowledge. They were all polite, friendly, respectful, and efficient. They were great with moving the furniture to my new place as far as where I wanted things set up. They even made changes when I wanted something moved from one spot to another. I highly recommend Personal Touch Moving and I will use them again in the future.

I just used thsee guys to move to my new home. They seemed nice enough, didn't cause any damage…read more(that I've found yet), but they certainly weren't very good movers. Problems: (1) They light loaded the truck, which means they had to make two trips. Now, the second trip had barely anything on it, but the driver said that the second trip wasn't because I had more stuff than I had estimated, but that nothing packed easy. They charge by the hour. So that significantly increased their time. (2) They stacked a bunch of boxes in my closet and then threw the bagged clothes on the floor in the kitchen because there was no more room in the closet.‍. Guess who gets to straighten that all out? (3) They didn't assemble either of the two beds. Hopefully they left all the parts. I think that's what the bolts on the kitchen table are for.... I haven't done that yet. Honestly, they were easy to schedule and work with, but the movers weren't worth the money they charged and I even gave them a tip because I didn't see how much work they made for me. I made an online reservation via U-Haul on 3/15 to move into the unit on 3/16. I went to the…read morefacility on 3/16 after checking the hours (9a-5p) online. They were closed, so I called the number on the building, no answer. I Googled the facility and found another phone number, no answer. We went to the business next door to see if they were affiliated and were not, but were nice enough to call the Lapeer office for us. We then drove 20 minutes, paid $45 for the month and insurance. We received our code to get in and the unit number. We went back to the facility on Sunday to make sure we could get in prior to moving stuff. We were able to get into the facility, but our unit was under construction. Only half the walls were built and we could get to other units from the back of ours. I called U-Haul and explained the situation, she called this facility and told me to call them back for assistance. My husband went to the facility to ask for another unit, the worker said we could pay more money for a different unit or get our money back. He asked for our money back. There were so many issues with our experience and nothing was made right in the end. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a company.
