I did a major cleanout of my basement and had a ton of bags of rubbish to be removed. I randomly stumbled across this service via Google search for junk removal services. I contacted them Saturday afternoon, and as stated in other reviews, I promptly received a text from Ken within 10 minutes. They asked for a description of what i needed to be done and and asked me to text a few photos of 'stuff' so they could provide me with an estimate of the cost of the job. Received the estimate minutes later and once I confirmed, we coordinated a time between 8:30am-9:00am on Sunday morning. The truck arrived at my residence at exactly 8:30am! The older gentleman (driver) was extremely friendly and didn't have a crew however it didn't deter him from completing the job himself. Within 30 minutes the truck was fully loaded and the yard where I had the rubbish, was completely spotless. The price for the removal was much less than anticipated which was a huge win. Wow! Omg! Like a knight in shining armor!!!! Arriving in his white blue truck! I am a local realtor! I was cleaning out a house, the previous owner had left a ton of garbage bags and stuff behind. I thought I could handle doing it all myself-boy was I wrong! I called Joe Junk just to see what the cost would be and my call was promptly answered and with in minutes my job was quoted a fair and reasonable price and even better was that he would be at the house in one hour! I only needed one guy to help and he was like a hundred guys rolled up in one! He came inside started ripping two large cabinets apart -heavy ones too- and before I knew it he had them broken down and in the truck! Then all the other stuff one by one until it was all out!! These guys are FABULOUS! I recently moved to Florida after living in my NJ home for 20 years. The amount of crap I accumulated was overwhelming. I used Joe Junk several times during the purging and moving process. Each time they came they were on time, professional and very careful as they moved items out of my house. They donated many items for me to the Lupus Foundation and gave me the tax deductible receipts. DO NOT BOTHER CALLING ANYONE ELSE!!! My morning started with 1-800-GOT-JUNK, with a quote of $850.00!! The pile of junk was worth $100 bucks, some garbage bags and wooden sticks... I turned them away and then went on Google looking for Junk Pickup in NJ and JOE JUNK came up, after reading nothing but 5 star reviews I called them and they advised they would be at my home in a few hours. 2 amazingly nice guys showed up and said " No Problem " I didn't even pay 1/4 of what GOT JUNK quoted me. I was very impressed with this company. My husband and I needed a whole condo cleaned out of its contents to get ready to be listed for sale. We are in Pennsylvania and the condo is in New Jersey, so we did everything by phone. They were in contact with us from start to finish, cleaned out the property so thoroughly (and it was a lot to clean out) and even contacted us instead of just throwing it away when they found a photo album we had missed, which was of great sentimental value, which was wonderful considering we told them to throw everything away and they didn't have to contact us by all rights. These guys were terrific! Very responsive, accommodating, and reliable! Showed up on time, removed everything in a timely and efficient and professional manner! They brought another truck within a few minutes, since we exceeded the space in 1 truck. They even broke up junk to take up less room in the truck! Hired them to remove wood and sheet rock from my parents basement. After some confusion with the quote i was given, Ken handled it like a true businessman should. Men like that are scarce nowadays. Absolutely phenomenal!! I wish I could give them six stars. While cleaning out my moms house I was bringing trash to the curb. I called Junk Rat first. They wanted to charge me over $400. I sent Junk Rat away. I called Joe Junk and they came within a couple of hours and charged less than half of what "the rat" wanted. Polite professional efficient and priced right.
