I figured I'd have to get bolt cutters to get the bike free from the hitch. My husband thought we should call a locksmith. We called a few locksmiths - they said they were unavailable and would most likely have to cut the lock off. They referred us to Allred. He was so helpful!! Upon return to the car I thought I'd locked myself out, so I called J Lock and Key...Arne showed up within 15 minutes, opened the car...and I discovered there was no key in there. Arne got out a flashlight, helped me look all around the car, but still, no keys! I was about to get very upset - this was a huge problem (towing to dealership, new key made, week long hotel in a town I'm not living in, who knows? It was looking bad, and very expensive). It was also about to get dark. It seemed perhaps the key could only have fallen out on the little river trail...which didn't seem appealing to search in the dark, as it was not the best part of town. But, not only did Arne offer to help me look on the trail because it wouldn't have been safe alone and even though I'd interrupted their evening, his wife hopped out of the truck and helped too!! Who does that!? They were so wonderful! And, then, after some searching, we found the key after all, along the trail. They refused any extra compensation, and left me feeling really good about people, and this company. I'd use them whenever needed for sure -if I lived there!

Gave me 2 options--bend it back at no charge or bend it back and do the $150 maintenance and inspection of the whole system. Felt I owed the 15 year + garage door and 30 year + opener an overall check and lubrication. Indicated that the 15 year old main springs that are encased in metal on this door would likely be the next thing needing replacement but said that could be as soon as tomorrow or many, many years down the road. Told me what signs of spring failure to watch for. And then quoted my a price for parts and service that was 1/2 what I paid a "brand name" garage door servicer at another GJ property 2 years ago.
